A gentle exploration of floor work in contemporary dance.
We will be exploring the physicality of movement as a functional and practical tool for entering the floor, rolling and sliding.
The session will start with a gentle warm-up, followed by a series of exercises visiting movement in, out and across the floor, experimenting with the possibilities of weight transfer. We will be gathering some of the techniques visited in a small choreographic phrase at the end.
