Contemporary Dance
-Intermediate / Advanced-
The 90 minutes class is suitable for adult movers with some experience in Contemporary Dance.
This first part of the class offers participants the opportunity to improve their technical skills by assessing both their physical reality and potential. Participants are invited to visit contemporary vocabulary from a somatic principles perspective, aesthetics, and qualities through a deeper understanding of functional anatomy, appropriate imagery, and relevant dance history. Covering floor technique as well as a contemporary barre work, playing with the construction and deconstruction of verticality, and generative off-balance dynamics.
The second part of the class is dedicated to creative expression and artistic challenges, including choreographed material, improvisation, and composition exercises.

Contemporary Dance
-Beginners-
The 90 minutes class welcomes adult movers who are new to contemporary dance. They are invited to discover the basics of contemporary movement quality and principles through 2 main parts in the class.
The first part is all about creative warm-ups, artistic explorations, somatic guidance and freedom in movement, all necessary for contemporary dance.
The second part starts with floor work technical exercises building ease, efficiency and flow in moving across and in & out of the floor, with an acute awareness of weight transfer and spatiality. Developing a solid core connection that is able to command the body in different levels and directions of the space, in balance and out of it. All leading to a build-up of short choreographic phrases towards the end of the class.
